No Room: By: Patrice Lorca ISBN: 0-7596-8407-3 Published By: 1st Books Library Mr. Lorca gives us the story of a man, Rob Callaway, who struggles in times when bigotry and racism are a part of their time. Rob works as a blacksmith, tought to him by a friend of the family, to raise his family of several children and his wife, Rachel.

This will take you back into the times of the mid 1900´s when blacks used seperate fountains and set in the back of buses. The story also tells about the times of slavery that Rob´s grandfather was a part of.

As I read "No Room" I just fell in love with Rob´s character. Rob is a man who works hard to support his family, and he also works hard to keep the good name that the Callaway´s have in their town. The Callaway´s are a well respected, black family who will go out of their way to help others (black or white) in need.

"No Room" is a book that is sure to stay with you even after you have put it down. It gives those of us who weren´t around in the times of bigotry and segregation a sense of just what struggles the African American´s had to face. A truly wonderful book!
