The golden jubilee celebrations committee of the B. J. Medical college Pune, solicits generous help from all the benevolent Indians, Americans and past students for the ambitious project of constructing a modern medical library for the service of the medical profession.
It is essential to provide latest technologies to impart the knowledge and information to professionals and students for keeping up with the rapidly advancing frotiers of medicine. Conventional books and journals are inadequate, besides being out or reach of majority of users by sheer cost.
We propose to construct a library building in the premises of the B.J.Medical College. It will consist of administrative section, reading hall, periodicals room, computer and multimedia section for accessing on-line databases, video library, reproduction facilities, stacking areas, seminar room etc. The estimated project cost is $0.5 million.

devastated by unprecedented floods in river Tapti, which flows through
the growing metro city. Surat is recognized as the largest Cluster of
Synthetic Textile Fabric Weaving and Processing as well as Diamond
Cutting and Polishing in the whole world. More than 80% of the city has
been affected by the floods. Two non-profit Organisations of Surat and
South Gujarat region, viz. The Southern Gujrat Chamber of Commerce &
Industry and Surat Citizens' Council Trust have issued an appeal to all
