License Agreement for India - Economic and Business Overview ("IEBO")

THIS IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT TO WHICH YOU ARE CONSENTING TO BE BOUND. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE, DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE OR ASSOCIATED MATERIALS.

  1. Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd. ("CMIE") grants to you a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, license to use IEBO. The materials authored by CMIE ("the presentation") are accompanied by the freeware browser software package ("Cello").
  2. CMIE MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE SUITABILITY OF THIS SOFTWARE OR ABOUT ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION MADE ACCESSIBLE BY THE SOFTWARE, FOR ANY PURPOSE. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NONINFRINGEMENT. THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED GRATUITOUSLY AND, ACCORDINGLY, CMIE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY THEORY OR ANY DAMAGES SUFFERED BY YOU OR ANY USER OF THE SOFTWARE. CMIE DOES NOT GUARANTEE EITHER SUPPORT OR UPDATES TO THIS SOFTWARE.
  3. All content in IEBO is the property of CMIE and may be protected by applicable copyright law. This License gives you no rights over such content.
  4. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to these materials shall remain in CMIE and/or its suppliers. You agree to abide by the copyright law and all other applicable laws in this regard. You acknowledge that all the files which make up IEBO remain the property of CMIE and therefore you agree not to modify the content.
  5. You can use the software, and you can quote content from it in your authored works, provided you explicitly cite Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy as the original author.
  6. You cannot make copies in any electronic form of the IEBO floppy. Indian missions all over the world are the source which will give out copies of this floppy; you cannot do that.
  7. You absolutely cannot alter the presentation in any way. If you have any suggestions for changes, please contact iebo@cmie.ernet.in and we may act on them. You cannot edit any of the files contained in this floppy in the smallest way.
