UYM is another comic love story. What is so comic about the movie, though, is the movie itself. The story is blatantly annoying and has oldest formula in the book. Here it is. Boy meets girl. Both hate each other. Then they fall in love. Girl's daddy says no to marriage. Finally, get married and live hapily ever after.
Half way through the movie, I started hoping that Twinkle would get shoved off a cliff and give the audience a REAL treat. Her retorts at Abhishek got terribly irritating. She is one young woman who will have to prove herself as an actress because in my opinion, even a Mumbai madari could act better than her. But even with the lame Khanna, the movie has some plus points in it like Abhishek Kapoor. The guy is really a natural at comedy. His performance is even better than what he accomplished in AASHIQUE MAASTANE. Also, Anupam Kher has done a hilarious job as the Punjaban school teacher. The music is excellent. I give it a perfect 10. Direction needs help. Buy the songs, discard the movie.
