swades dismal performance in overseas[ Go to Replies ] [ Go Back to Box Office Forum ] Posted by luckyt66 on December 21, 2004 at 11:56:08: PB is making swades business in the overseas look like it's really good, compare it to the business of VZ in the overseas. swades opening weekend in the US is more than half below VZ's opening week in the US, it's even below VZ's 2nd weekend in the US, and its just a little bit above VZ's 3rd weekend in the US, which is pretty sad for the opening weekend of a srk flick in the UK swades opening weekend is below VZ's 4th weekend in the UK, which i think says it all why is PB making it look like that swades is a big hit in the overseas, these people are obsessed with srk, srk is easily the biggest star in the overseas- but swades didn't live up to his name, srk doesn't even have any competition in the overseas compared to other movies swades business in the overseas might look good, but compared to other srk movies, it's opening is really bad, despite being the only new release last week, like many people said- "even srk can't save this movie". even in the overseas, where srk films are always a big hit, swades is not doing that well, if it's business is so dissapointing in the overseas, think how bad and dissapointing it will be India let's hope ATHWS ends the year off good, and doesn't dissapoint, with being the last big release of the year
