wow that so great to hear that you are such a big fan of abjr now. and that you really liked guru

Well guess what i still don't think he is all that and won't either. here are my points.

first off guru is a well made film no doubt. he had done some good acting. but i must say that this is the first big hindi film this year. what i find funny is that media has already declared him a big superstar, an award front runner, comparsions of his performance surprassing absr's deewar, etc. etc.

hello there are other films that are going to come out too. media is getting way too excited. have you seen the trailer to gandhi my father with akshaye khanna. wow that film looks even better than guru. go watch it. there are other films that will come out too. let's see if they get this similar treatment. they probably won't b/c it won't have the bachanans in it.

admit that guru opened well overseas but keep in mind it did not open well in india and uk. and i still say will not be a hit in india. but since film has abjr in it and there are a lot of loyalists for the bachanans they are going to whatever it takes to make this film a hit. taran adarsh is going bonkers. he also said that babul (an absr film) was going to make the distributors laugh all the way to the bank but it was one of the worst films last year. how credible is his fa##ety a$$. go read his review.

2. guru does not only have abjr in it. aish, mithn, madhavan also did a great job in the film. keep in mind this is a mani rathnam film. his name also draws crowds but media is just kissing abjr's a$$ to make absr happy. to be declared a true superstar his films need to do well in india too. also keep in mind the budget of this film is 20+cr. a true superstar film is grossing over 40+cr these days. let's see if guru can do that. keep in mind if guru opened well in us it is b/c of aish's growing number of fans too. she is well known in hollywood too. she has some international projects lined up. her starpower helped guru open well. ditto for umrao jaan in usa. media forget aish is in the film too. remeber she did go to oprah and dave letterman. indians are not the only people that are watching guru. so don't give me that abjr superstar crap.

4. we will see true fate of guru next week when salaam e ishq comes out. bet on this it will cross 1 million in 3 days in usa and do well in the uk and india. another setback for guru could be risk. that is getting some good attention too with vinod khanna getting some good praise already.

5. your point on kumar gurav was true about his daddy producing films. but he did something abjr did not do he had debut with a super hit. though his films all flopped after that except for naam audiences rejected him. and rajender kumar was no absr who had influence on media and the industry as the way absr has. how influencial is his father. absr started starring in films with him that helped boost his career. i know that he told producers that he will nto star in films if his kid is not in it. how do you think he got KANK. b/c of his talent. he got a Uttar pradesh award for just being a bachanan and not doing anything when that award is given to people in that state that work hard and contribute and live in that state. his father pulled some strings. abjr was labeled by a magazine eastern eye as the sexiest guy alive over john abraham, salman khan, hritik roshan???

media is ready to declare him as the next big thing. they have been saying this since his debut. next in line is rishi kapoor kid ranvir kappor. watch.

after 13 straight flops any average actor would have been gone but this was absr's kid. how could people say no. how did he get big roles after 2003. keep in mind again most of his past films are

1. films with daddy (bunty aur babli, sarkar, KANK) 2. multistarrers (dus,Dhoom, dhoom 2) 3. yash chopra films (bunty aur babli, hum tum, dhoom 1,2)

he made a zillion cameos in films just to stay afloat.

so tell me what is his next solo film.

i admit he is getting better but he is not the best thing in bollywood. that crown belongs to hritik and we all know why dhoom 2 was such a big hit. hritik stole the whole show leaving him as a pathetic side actor as a cop who could not dance when compared to hritik.

abjr may be getting all these so called praises but only time will tell how far can he go without daddy.
