Umesh Shukla A Computer Graphics Supervisor, previously with Digital Domain, a company formed by director James Cameron and creature wizard Stan Winston has made his presence felt in the Hollywood special effects community. The only Indian to have achieved the status of a computer graphics supervisor in Hollywood, worked on billion dollar grossing Titanic as a character Integration supervisor and was responsible for well over 100 special effects shots. He along with the software professionals from Digital Domain designed the way Titanic got populated with computer generated people. These people were used in stunning day and night time sequence. Working closely with director James Cameron and Visual Effects supervisor Rob Legato, Umesh was able to breath life into numerous digital people to their satisfaction, on a film which became the highest grossing film of all time. The special effects team for Titanic went on to win the Oscar for Visual Effects. Umesh Shukla was also a supervisor for the lava sequences for the film Dante's Peak and in currently with Walt Disney Feature Animation working as a lead for Digital Effects for all the movies currently being produced at Disney Feature animation.
