PHOENIX, AZ - A chemical engineer of Indian origin, Arun K. Pal has been issued a patent for his innovation which allows a car to keep cool even when parked in the hot sun, and also allow the driver to travel in conformable temperatures without the use of Freon or gasoline.
"Kar-Kool," as the product has been named, uses CFCs and minimizes combustion related pollutants vis-a-vis negligible usage of gasoline, Pal's company Ecostar said in a press release. It also pointed out that minimal modification to a vehicle was necessary for its installation as it consists of a pressurized water tank and window mounted air circulators.
"Kar-Kool" works by combining forced convection via fans powered by the vehicle battery, and a very fine mist powered by air pressure via a bladder tank.
The best way to visualize this is the cold feeling one experiences when one has taken a shower, dried off, and is in a breeze; after one has stepped out of a pool, dried off, feels a breeze thereby, experiencing intense cooling; spraying a lawn, feeling the off-spray while in a breeze, etc. One doesn't get soaked because the liquid impinging on one's body are micro-droplets that evaporate after absorbing heat from the body.
