Washington, June 27 - Mr. Bharat Majhi, a Metallurgical Engineer from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri, India was elected Vice Chairman for 1997-98 and Chairman for 1998-2000 of American Nuclear Society Chicago Section. Mr. Majhi has been very active with Nuclear Power Industry for last 25 years. He is founder and President of BTI Technology Inc. based in Libertyville, Illinois which provides consulting services to Power Industry in the area of Procurement Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Professional Staff Augmentation.
BTI Technology Inc. biggest customer is Commonwealth Edison of Illinois which is the largest utility in North America for Nuclear Power Generation and owner of 12 Nuclear Units ranging from 800 to 1100 MW.
American Nuclear Society (ANS) is a body of professionals engaged in the field of Nuclear Science and Technology. ANS provides leadership in the development, dissemination, and application of nuclear science and technology for the benefit of humanity. American Nuclear Society (ANS) works in close cooperation with Indian Nuclear Society (INS) to meet "Challenges for the growth of Nuclear Energy in developing countries."
