PRINCETON, NJ - Sejal Shah, an Indian student in Princeton University, has been elected as an Alumni trustee of the university’s prestigious Board of Trustees.
This is the first time that an Indian student got such a rare honor in one of the prestigious universities in the United States.
Sejal Shah, who was elected to the Board in September last, will hold this position for a period of four years and will serve as a member on the Alumni affairs committee and the committee on student life, health and athletics.
The young Alumni trustee program was set up in 1969 in an effort by the university to provide a link between the Board of Trustees and the students on campus.
A very enthusiastic and exuberant Princetonian, Sejal feels that as a young Alumni trustee, she would ensure that Princeton continues to grow and expand to provide opportunities for people of diverse interests, talents and backgrounds.
