I wish that I knew a way to tell you how I feel.
	I wish that I could show you how my feelings for you are real.
	I think you think that my words are just empty thoughts about you.
	But I can’t emphasize enough that my words and thoughts are true.

	I have made so many mistakes in my life---especially with you!
	I wish that we could start over because I know what I would do.
	I would show you each and every day from now to eternity
	That being my friend is no mistake---You would have that certainty!

	I wish that I knew how I could make you truly understand
	The power that you have over me--- for my heart is in your hands.
	There is nothing in this world that I would not do
	To be able to prove to you that my feelings for you are true!

	To me friendship is so important---one of life’s required things.
	Without it you feel empty, for you don’t have the love it brings!
	I don’t know if you feel the same as me on this issue--- 
	But please excuse me.  I have to go get a tissue!

	I know that words don’t come easy for some of us.
	But I feel that expressing myself to you is a must.
	I want you to love me despite the things I do that are wrong.
	I want you to remember this poem like a verse to a song.

	I want you to love me, just as I love you.
	I want you to feel as I feel, and the feelings be true!
	I want you to know that if you ever need me, I am here.
	No matter what the problem is, I will always be near!

	I know this sounds kind of mushy and a bit bizarre,
	But I feel it is important that you know how special you are.
	Of all the friends I have ever had, never have I felt this way.
	I wish that you felt the same for me---and for that I often pray!

	So to sum it all up, and put it in a nutshell,
	I want you to know that life without you would be a living hell!
	Having a friend like you is something I can’t do without.
	Of all the things in my life, that is one to which there is no doubt!


	So if you are ever feeling un-loved , down, or a lil’ blue,
	Remember I am right here beside you to help get you through.
	I am sure I will make more mistakes for which I will regret,
	But I will NEVER stop loving you----on that you can BET!!!
