| Shadows |
When in deep slumber Shadows move away from me To reach a place where lies a shape That they had always wished to see. She lies in no bed of roses She rests in the sea of dazzling mirth No charming face can ever replace her secret burning, gloomy hearth. A shadow brings her a blazing fire To adorn her shape with the only attire While the other sees her face Where to find the only grace. They sit and wait They try to let Her eyes to shine while their to wet With a simple thaught in glee That they were born when she was one Dreaming in a dream with me. But never can they view That shine in her darkened eyes For they are sucked When I wake up And they are none but mine When they are far And life's no bar To force their souls to wear the sear Then they shall see the rarest spark In her rarer eyes Out of bounds Where worlds not round Where people throw a bezand found And thaught's are free as the gallant sky Away from the wicked "I"
