The colourful carnival procession Reached the city square. The moods and themesof life there, Reflects on the face of old statue At the intersection. The statue was there from time- immemorial. Many a carnivals have come and gone. An infinite number of seasons passed through. legions marched on this land. The Aryans, The mogals. The greeks, Then the Europeans. Many fought wars at distand lands and turned salts of the earth. Those who returned carried an assorment of habits and culture. They also brought unknown diseases. The great grand old statue was the only witness to all the Wild and dreamy events. There were good dreams and nightmares. He saw, watched and reflected everything unperturbed. He will be there for ever casting glance to infinity. 000000
