So Long...

by: Donna Phariss (Spudbucket@aol.com)

Shadows move across the canvas, blurring emotions running high As the pains and sorrows of the past, take wing to the clear blue sky. The path that rolls before the life, of ones sweet charted end Is paved with learning, wisdoms training and hearts broken on the mend. And out of time and space unending, rising to meet the challenge thrown Grows despair at loves unrequitted, the futility of faith thats grown. For where in the darkest hour is there, hope for the battered soul When all around the walls have tumbled, and lights faded to midnight coal. The void created in this endless quest, for naught has the innocent been Is racked with misery and filled with tears, the weary now chooses the end. So the hand of fate is grasped, and the sorrows that have led to this Are bid farewell in abject misery, as death bestows, this, its final kiss. all is lost...so long
