| The Lady |
As i was hurrying down the sidewalk, I saw her across the street. She stood out among the crowd, There was no mistake. She was just as i had last seen her. Bold, yet beautiful. Delicate, yet strong. Her hair in a coil and small pearl studs in her ears. The Garden sari brought out the brilliance of her dark eyes She smiled the smile that melted the hearts of the stone hearted She caught my eye. I saw that gleam in her eyes. Next moment she was crying. Like the last time at the station, Slowly letting the tears fall. I had crossed the road and held her tight. She was my sole anchor, She was my Mother.
