"THE ROAD TRAVERSED"

From mountains crested with snow,
  to the vallies far below,
from every hillside and dale,
  and oceans sea side trail,
from fields clad with flowers,
  and wooded forest towers,
along each winding road,
  thinking I alone carried life's load.
But when the road did abruptly end,
  and I retraced my steps again,
I found the road traversed far and wide,
  each step God.....walking by my side.
