Burning Moons

Climbing upon the ascent of
Shadows, the many moons slowly
Lit the crux of midnight,
Climbing higher still to
The realms of
Rainbow wreaths, to the sheer
Uncloaked floating darkness
Where your hands shaping the moonlight
Moulded my strength,
And your eyes filled with
Distant stars
Enfolded timeless galaxies within.........
Was it the fragrance of nascent dew
In tendrils and sleeping buds
That wafted in silent carillon
Or was it your warmth
Surging through
My soul........
Was it the tenderness in the zephyr
Or were your eyes so soft that
Without a touch
You conquered me,
The burning moons in
Eternal fire
Amidst the ambers of
Melancholy
Glowed deep within our souls
And the shadows
Climbed higher till
Dawn...........................
