I

A prisoner am I
Lost within myself, in the ruins I lie
None to conceive me
All again to decieve me
Nor to sense from where my doubt
did sprout

A prisoner am I
Lost within myself, yet to them I'll deny
They who played me
like a toy, they who slaved me
Never did comprehend
just pretend

A prisoner am I
Lost within myself, all alone I cry
They who grieved me
The world that never believed me
will eventually claim
the same

A prisoner am I
Lost within myself, it's here I'll die
To them, who'd known me
Yet, hadn't ever shown me!
If I'd ever meant a penny worth
I'd long again for birth!
