Crispy Masala groundnuts

The crispy masala groundnuts is an easy recipe which can be made in 5 minutes using the microwave. It need not be deep fried but provides the same taste as deep fried groundnuts.

Ingredients:

  • shelled groundnuts   -   1 cup
  • rice flour   -   1 tblsp
  • gram flour   -   1/2 tblsp
  • cooking oil   -   1 tblsp
  • salt   -   to taste
  • red chilli pwdr   -   to taste
  • curry leaves   -   few (optional)
  • garam masala   -   a pinch
  • Method:

    In a microwavable bowl mix rice flour, gram flour, oil, salt, chilli pwdr, garam masala and curry leaves into a paste with some water. the consistency should be neither too semi solid nor solid. Mix the ground nuts in and microwave it in high for 3 minutes. Take it out, mix it again and microwave it for a few minutes. The crispy groundnuts are yours to taste.
