Ingredients:
- Shimla mirch (green pepper), remove seeds and chop - 6 small
- Channa dal, soaked for 2 hours - 2 oz.
- Onion, grated - 1 large
- Cumin (Jeera) powder - 1/2 tsp.
- Tumeric powder - 1 pincch
- Sugar - 1/4 tsp.
- Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Method:
Grind channa dal coarsely and keep aside. Roast onion and asafoetida till light brown. Add green pepper (capsicum), jeera powder, tumeric powder, sugar, chilli powder and some water. Cover and let cook till tender. Add channa dal paste and salt and keep stiring. Let simmer for a while. Serve hot.
