Green PeasUsal

Ingredients:

  • Fresh green peas   -   2 cups
  • Green chilies   -   4 sliced
  • Ginger - minced and crushed   -   small piece
  • Tumeric powder   -   1/4 tsp.
  • Chopped Coriander leaves   -   1 tablespoon
  • Sugar or jaggery   -   1 tsp.
  • Soda bicarbonate   -   1 pinch
  • Salt   -   According to your taste

Method:

Steam cook peas with a pinch of soda bicarbonate. Heat saucepan, stir in green chillies and ginger till dry. Add cooked peas, little water and rest of the ingredients. Simmer on low flame till almost dry. Add corriander leaves.
