Ingredients:
- Fresh spinach - 1-pack
- Moong Dhal - 1/2 cup
- Rasam powder - 1 teaspoon
- Grated coconut - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard - 1/4 tsp.
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ghee - 1 tsp
Method:
Grind the Rasam Powder & grated coconut to a smooth paste.
Finely chop spinach. Mix spinach and Moong dhal together in a vessel and pressure cook for 10 minutes. After 15-20 minutes take out the spinach from cooker.
Heat ghee in a Kadai. Add the mustard and let it splutter. Add the cumin seeds and fry for a minute. Add the cooked spinach & dhal mixture. Add salt & turmeric powder(a pinch). Give it a boil. Add the ground paste and give another boil. Tasty kootu is ready.
