New Delhi: Emco said it has got a 458-crore order from Power Grid Corporation for execution of a transmission line from Champa to Kurukshetra.
The transmission line would be designed to carry 6,000 MW power from generating stations in Chhattisgarh to Northern Grid.
The order also involves supply of galvanised steel towers which Emco would produce at its Asoj facility in Gujarat.
"Emco Ltd has bagged this project after surpassing a stringent qualification requirement from the client and against very stiff competition," it said. Emco Ltd has also commissioned a 500-km transmission line project for Power Grid Corporation in the current fiscal.
The company's shares were trading at 33.75 apiece during the afternoon trade, up 6.64 per cent over the previous closing in the BSE.
