Bangalore: There are remarkable opportunities for co-operation between India and the US, says Bob Corker, a high-ranking Republican Senator. He expressed great confidence in the future of the bilateral ties, reports PTI.
Bob is the Republican Ranking Member in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He expressed his viewpoints on the relationship between the 2 countries in a recent meeting with Nirupama Rao, Indian Ambassador to the U.S.

"He spoke of tremendous opportunities in bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence in the future of the relationship," the embassy said.

Corker remembered his visit to India in the year 2007 and the impression he had about the fast economic growth of the country.

Rao congratulated Corker on being elected as the Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the 113th Congress. She also expressed her interest in working closely with him, to move forward with shared interests in the strategic partnership between the two nations. Rao also pointed out the recent developments in India-US relations, in areas such as bilateral trade and investment, and energy cooperation.
