BANGALORE: Currently, combating the slow pace of revenues and growth, Infosys, India's second largest information technology services company is on a way to improve its sales team. It is presently planning for new business acquisitions, revised and strengthened sales growth and client relationships, reports Itika Sharma Punit of Business Standard.
U.S. and Europe are the key markets for Infosys that generates almost 75 percent of total revenue for the company. But in the earlier part of the year, Infosys saw a roller coaster kind of effect when there was 0.8 percent quarter-on-quarter decline in revenue from North America while Europe saw a growth of 1 percent in the revenues.

The decision to hire mainly in U.S. and Europe locally is to uplift the sales team which in an orderly way, in-turn which will help existing clients from the base itself and also will improve the revenues and prior growth which will be rewarding for the company in a slow-down. Local talents will help boost the company's work-force there. Recently top executive from the company, like Basab Pradhan who headed global sales and marketing of Infosys, quit. Though it seems the top vacant positions have been filled internally, Infosys is now trying to hire on the lower levels and engage a better sales team on board for work.
