Hoogly (WB), Sept 27 (PTI) A powerful explosion took place in a fireworks factory at Shivchandi area in West Bengal's Hooghly district today, police said. Additional Superintendent of Police, Ashes Biswas said that the explosion was powerful considering that the roof and walls of the factory were blown away. The police were proceeding to the spot. Local Trinamool Congress leader Aseema Patra said considering the intensity of the blast, it was probable that substances other than fireworks were being manufactured. |
