Bangalore: Wipro has appointed Vyomesh Joshi, former executive Vice President of Hewlett-Packard's Imaging and Printing Group, as director on its board. Joshi who has been in the IT industry for more than three decades will serve as an independent member on the board and will bring to Wipro a wealth of experience, Wipro said in a statement, reports PTI. According to Joshi, “I have for long admired Wipro as a company, as much for its business excellence as for its strong commitment to values. I look forward to contributing to the company as it prepares for its future challenges’’, reports Economic Times. Joshi holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Ohio State University. He joined HP in the year 1980 as a research and development engineer and has been a member of the Yahoo board of directors since 2005.
