Bangalore: The University of Cincinnati (UC), situated in Ohio is looking forward to have more Indian students in the coming years, reports M Saraswathy of Business Standard.
Jonathan Weller, Director of International Admission at UC said, "India has been one of our largest international student populations for the past 15 years, with most Indian students pursuing post-graduate programs. We remain committed to India and are announcing several new post-graduate programs in Engineering, Finance and Law for Indian students with substantial scholarships to make their studies at UC as affordable as possible."

In the year 2010, Indian students studying in the campus were granted scholarships worth $5 million (Rs 26.4 crores) and in the current year, scholarships worth $7 million (Rs 36.9 crore) are expected to be given, says Weller. The amount of scholarships varies from department to department; science, engineering and biomedical sciences offer high amounts, whereas branches like humanities, education and social sciences offer less.

Apart from enrolling Indian students in the university, UC has also undertaken several faculty projects in India wherein the faculty members visited the country to do research. There are many Indians in the faculty board as well.
