IOA Hails Saina for Denmark Title Email this page

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Oct. 22 hailed badminton star Saina Nehwal for winning the Denmark Open Super Series Premier badminton tournament.
Saina’s consistent good showing in the international tournaments augurs well for Indian sports in general and badminton in particular, IOA acting president Vijay Kumar Malhotra said in a statement here.

Malhotra added that by winning four Super Series events and a bronze medal at the London Olympics this year so far, Saina has raised the bar for other Indian sportspersons.

Malhotra also complimented Saina for her dedication and commitment saying that at a young age of 22 she has already emerged as a role model for youngsters who are interested in sports. – IANS
