Three Pak LeT operatives arrested in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Nov 13 (PTI) Three Pakistanis, suspected to be Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives, were arrested overnight in Bangladesh as police intensified a manhunt for militants who chalked up an LeT plan to attack the Indian High Commission and US embassy here, officials said.
"We arrested the three suspected LeT operatives last night from (suburban) Tongi and Uttara area (of the capital city) acting on a secret tip-off," deputy commissioner of police's detective branch (DB) Monirul Islam told PTI.

He named the three as Syed Qaiyum Azhari alias Sufiyan, Mohammad Monwar and Mohammad Zahid, saying they all carried Pakistani passports which too were seized.

The three were brought before the media for a brief photo opportunity as newsmen crowded the DB office in the afternoon but the scribed were not allowed to speak to them.
