Panaji, Nov 26 (PTI) Thai filmmaker Yong Yoot Thongkengtoom, whose film 'Best of Times' is Thailand's entry to the Oscars this year, is impressed by the vibrancy of Indian cinema and its magnetic appeal to attract audiences despite economic downslide and piracy.
"People's support is the only encouragement artistes can get during a downturn. It is great to see Indian audience flocking to theaters despite economic slump and piracy," Yong told PTI at the sidelines of International Film Festival of India.

Yong, believes that Thai cinema is facing a downslide due to recession and political unrest. Howevr, he doesn't feel that Hollywood has contributed to present scenario.

"It is just that we don't make films which the audiences will like.
