| Little boy, little boy | | You dream so many dreams, | | Awake, asleep You dream within dreams, Anecdotes you relate of So many flights of fancy. O mother O father fascinated; you wonder Within his fragile little mind What wonders do dwell? Forgetting all for but a moment, You laugh with him, you play. Little boy, little boy You come of age With sleepless nights and nightmares Innocence fades, O Innocence fades. You travel you learn You Live, and a little you Die Time takes you through, Takes you far away Trapped in the wave, looking back All it takes is a tear To remember dreams of better days. Little boy, little boy Now your child he plays You look in his eyes, his tales In his wondrous world, he sings away. Within his fragile little mind do you Find stories you once had told. Then father, son They roll, they play, they laugh, they run In the sands by that beach giving A gift of dreams, those little dreams All over again, all over again.
