As always, political parties are trying to get the support of the people by fielding popular movie stars as their charismatic candidates... The upcoming elections are no exceptions...

Not to be out done by the number of actors and actresses being fielded by the BJP and its allies in the South, DMK has decided to field Sharat Kumar from the prestigious Tirunelveli constituency. And so, It's now Mega Star Sharat Kumar's turn to try his hand at politics. After his honeymoon with AIADMK ended in a divorce, Sharat has been flexing his muscles, wooing Naghma in reel and real life and facing reel politx. Now he's ready to face real politics, and that too in Tirunelveli. Tirunelveli-lendu avar 'Halwa' taruvaara illai avarukku 'BJP-JJ' serndhu 'Halwa' taruvangala-nnu poruthirundhu paarpom! Moovendarukku Moonrezhuthil (Ti-mu-ka) thaan ippozhdu moochu irukkum... Lets see if he is able to convert his on-screen charisma into votes for the DMK. He is pitted against Kadambur Janarthanam of the AIADMK who lost there the previous time. BTW, Tirunelveli means a lot to JJ who held the State Conference of the Rettai Elai party there a few weeks back...

Ooru vittu Ooru Vandhu, Election-le Nikkadeenge.. Vittudu Thambi, Ada Vendam Thambi.. seems to be the song echoing in Ramarajan's ears as he makes preparations for a showdown in Tiruchendur. He seems unfazed by the criticism from close quarters and is all set to restore Amma's career and with that, his. The Coast is Toast come election day when he will test his popularity against Danushkothi Anandhan who is likely to contest on a TMC ticket.  Lets see if he can milk the electorate as well as he can milk the cows. Moo(t) point what ?

BJP seems to be a Bayangara Jollu Party, now that they have roped in Gauthami with Vijayashanti reported to follow suit anytime now.  The party seems to have the Andhra film industy under its magic spell. Its roster reads like the who's who of  Tollywood these days. Not to be out done, the TDP has roped in its share of Telugu super stars, and has even had Mano and SPB sing their campaign songs for them. Watch out for the Star wars in A.P!
